Axpo signs two PPAs for 76.4 MW
Axpo, via its subsidiary Axpo Nordic AS, has signed two long-term power purchase agreements in Sweden.
The ten-year contracts cover two wind farms, the 16.4 MW Norra Hunna and the 60 MWHultema, recently sold by PNE Group.
The former should be operational by the second quarter of 2021, and the latter by mid-2023.
The Axpo subsidiary will own the entire production of the wind farms and will be responsible for marketing the electricity.
Expanding in the wind power market
Axpo aims to consolidate its position in the renewable energy market in Sweden and Europe as a whole.
This will be achieved by offering green, reliable and sustainable energy.
Tomas Sjöberg, CEO of Axpo Sverige, commented:
“Sweden remains an important market for wind power, and we continue to see growing interest from international investors in our country’s free, subsidy-free market.
The Swiss company’s ambition is to increase the number of long-term supply and power purchase agreements.
The aim is to become a key international player in the distribution and marketing of clean energy.
