Apex-Brasil is organizing a conference as part of the Offshore Technology Conference (OTC) to highlight the impressive growth in Brazilian oil and gas production and development.

Apex-Brasil presents the development of Brazilian oil and gas activities

The press conference will take place this Monday, August 16, CST 3:45pm, and will include remarks from Brazilian oil and gas experts, including Petrobras CEO Joaquim Silva e Luna, Brazilian Minister of Mines and Energy Bento Albuquerque, the Director General of Brazil’s National Petroleum Agency (ANP) Rodolfo Saboia.
Finally, Roberto Escoto, Managing Director of Apex-Brasil (the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency).
Industry leaders and experts will cover a wide range of opportunities for investors interested in Brazil.
These opportunities include energy, oil and gas zones, including the upcoming October 2021 edition of 92 blocks that make up the Campos, Pelotas, Potiguar and Santos basins.
As well as the December 2021 opening of the Brazil-based Atapu and Sepia pre-salt fields.

Brazil, a key growth market

The December auction alone, estimated to be one of the largest in history, is expected to generate $38.3 billion in investment between now and 2050, and account for 15% of the country’s domestic oil production by 2030.
Speakers will explain why Brazil is a key growth market to watch for investors in this sector.
Current total production of 3.1 million barrels per day (2.8% of the world total) is expected to reach 5.3 million barrels per day by 2030, thanks to a full schedule of competitive auctions.
This would position Brazil among the world’s top five oil producers.

Offshore Technology Conference

OTC is an annual event held at NRG Park in Houston, Texas.
It brings together international leaders in the energy, oil and gas sector to showcase the latest technologies and knowledge of offshore resources.
In addition to hosting this press meeting on the opening day of the OTC, Apex-Brasil representatives will be present in the Brazilian pavilion at the OTC show.
Apex-Brasil representatives will facilitate meaningful discussions and forge partnerships that will further consolidate this promising sector in the country.
Apex-Brasil also offers a free online business platform where international companies can meet the 33 Brazilian companies taking part in this year’s event.
Of these, 23 will be presenting samples of machinery and equipment at the Brazilian pavilion.
