Alternus Energy Group Plc acquires 12.9 MW of operational solar photovoltaic assets located throughout Poland for $13 million.
Alternus Energy signs agreement for a total of 24MW
In addition, Alternus Energy has signed an agreement with a local developer for a total pipeline of 24 MW.
The additional 11 MW will go into commercial operation in the first quarter of 2022.
While these projects are subsidized by the Polish government, this is not the case for the 64.6 MW Witnica solar park acquired in August 2021.
Instead, it benefits from a 10-year power purchase agreement with Heidelberg Cement‘s Polish subsidiary, Górazdze.
500 MW by 2025
The Group sees Poland as a growth market due to this supportive government policy.
The company aims to reach 200 MW of clean power plants during 2022 and 400 to 500 MW by 2025.
Power purchase projects, according to the CFO, should provide €1.2 million in revenues per year over the next 30 years.
