In Algeria, the Minister of Energy and Mines, Mohamed Arkab, has just given the country’s oil production forecasts.
Algeria to increase oil production between September and October 2021
In Algeria, oil production will be 932,000 barrels per day (bpd) in September 2021 and 942,000 bpd in October 2021, says the Algerian Minister of Energy and Mines.
Overall compliance with OPEC+ production agreements reached 110% in August 2021, says the Minister.
This “very positive percentage” proves the commitment of the Organization’s producers to strengthening efforts to stabilize oil prices.
OPEC+ increases production
In addition, these forecasts come at a time when OPEC+ has decided to increase its oil production.
The aim is to meet rising demand while maintaining a reasonable price level.
A decision that the White House is delighted with, as the United States had called for such a measure in mid-August 2021.
