Accenture develops a digital factory to support Climeworks’ activities.
Both companies are actively involved in the development of a carbon capture and storage system.

Accenture enhances the performance of Climateworks

Accenture is a services company specializing in digital, cloud storage and security.
The meeting between Accenture and Climeworks took place at the World Economic Forum in 2018.
Following agreement, a team of Accenture technicians was formed specifically to help Climeworks achieve its objectives.

Capture CO2 directly from the air

The aim of Climeworks is to remove CO2 from the air more efficiently.
For Daniel Egger, the company’s sales director, the aim is to encourage almost a billion people to limit their carbon emissions.
The latest known installation is the Orca system.
Based in Iceland, it is designed to capture 4,000 tonnes of carbon dioxide per year.
The harvested CO2 is then stored underground and should turn to stone in less than two years.
With this system, Climeworks has created the world’s largest climate-positive installation to date.

A customized, multi-level solution

Accenture provides Climeworks with a digital enterprise solution that helps to efficiently remove carbon dioxide from the air.
This factory is in charge of strategy, design, digital engineering, technology and cloud storage.
Accenture thus offers experts capable of developing realistic and effective market strategies.
It also presents its partner with a wide choice of customers and partners for collaboration.
In addition, its system enables Climeworks to detect anomalies in the CO2 burial process in real time.
In concrete terms, the effort required to collect and process operational information is cut in half.
Accenture and Climeworks are determined to make sustainable development the core of their business.
The success of their project should then encourage customers to do the same.
In other words, it’s a way of encouraging good corporate citizenship.
