€26 billion renewable sector responds to France's audit court findings
Industry groups responded Wednesday to France's audit court on the cost and efficiency of public renewable support valued at €26.3 billion since 2016.

The French Renewable Energy Union (SER) and France renouvelables responded Wednesday to recommendations from France's audit court, which evaluated the cost of contracts supporting renewable electricity and biomethane production between 2016 and 2024 at €26.3 billion. This amount represents an average annual cost of €2.9 billion. Released Tuesday, the high court report examines the effectiveness and efficiency of renewable energy support mechanisms, as well as the control, predictability and anticipation of costs for the state.
