ENERTRAG secures a new €120 million financing deal with Commerzbank, strengthening its ability to develop sustainable energy projects.

ENERTRAG, has announced the finalization of a new €120 million credit line with Commerzbank. This financing, with an initial term of five years and extension options, will support the company’s ongoing expansion. Simon Hagedorn, CFO of ENERTRAG, emphasizes the importance of this investment for the company’s long-term growth strategy. They will enable us to develop new energy facilities and push ahead with innovative projects.

Impact and Expansion of ENERTRAG Projects

With over 900MW of owned clean energy facilities and a project portfolio exceeding 18GW, ENERTRAG is well positioned to significantly influence the renewable energy market. These projects include 12GW of wind power and 6GW shared between photovoltaic and green hydrogen projects. This financing comes at a time when the company has recently obtained permits for almost 200MW of new wind power installations in Germany .

Prospects for collaboration and growth

The long-standing relationship between ENERTRAG and Commerzbank, strengthened by this latest financing, demonstrates mutual trust. Tim Koenemann, Head of the Competence Center for Green Infrastructure Financing at Commerzbank, says that this financial support is crucial for ENERTRAG to achieve its goals. This new financing for ENERTRAG is more than just a financial transaction. It represents a crucial step in the company’s quest for a sustainable energy future. By investing in the development of its renewable energy capacities, ENERTRAG is strengthening its position in the global energy transition, supported by key financial partners.
