Wood Mackenzie Forecasts €180 Billion in Energy Savings for Europe Thanks to LNG
A wave of liquefied natural gas supply could halve European gas prices by 2030, according to Wood Mackenzie. The consultancy anticipates cumulative savings of €180 billion for European industry through 2032.

The massive influx of liquefied natural gas (LNG) onto global markets could reverse a decade of industrial decline in Europe. According to Wood Mackenzie’s latest Horizons report, annual energy costs for European industry would decrease by €39 billion by 2032. Cumulative savings would reach €180 billion, equivalent to 1% of the European Union’s current gross domestic product.
