Vital Energy strengthens position in Alberta with acquisition of seven land sections
Vital Energy has completed a strategic land acquisition in western Alberta, increasing its regional exposure to nine sections and supporting its development outlook in the Charlie Lake reservoir.

Vital Energy Inc. has acquired seven sections totalling approximately 1,792 hectares of Alberta Crown petroleum and natural gas (P&NG) rights in the Elmworth area, located within the Grande Prairie region. The total purchase price amounted to $5,998,139 (CAD8.03mn), including bonus considerations and associated Crown fees. The acquired rights cover formations from surface or the base of the Nikanassin Formation to the base of the Halfway Formation under a four-year Northern P&NG Licence. The assets were acquired directly from the Province of Alberta.
