Wood Mackenzie revealed that natural gas freeze-offs in the United States reached 17 billion cubic feet (BCF) on January 25th, a level close to the 18 BCF record set during Winter Storm Uri. An Arctic weather system is currently sweeping across the country and generating significant operational disruptions. Freeze-offs refer to production shutdowns caused by equipment freezing at gas facilities.
