Qualitas Energy, a renewable energy investment and project development platform, has recently acquired the rights to a wind power project with a total capacity of 56.7 MW in Germany. The project, comprising eight turbines, is designed to supply electricity to over 38,000 homes. Qualitas Energy’s development team is working closely with the vendor to ensure the success of this initiative. Borja Caruana, Managing Director of Qualitas Energy Deutschland GmbH, emphasizes that this partnership is a crucial step in accelerating the development of energy projects in Germany.

Investment Strategy and Growth

Qualitas Energy’s strategy is based on acquiring project rights for greenfield developments as well as existing wind farms for repowering projects. The aim is to maximize installed capacity and strengthen the company’s presence on the German market. Johannes Overbeck, Head of Investments, says the company is aiming for projects that are both sustainable and profitable, in collaboration with local developers. This approach positions Qualitas Energy as a key player in the sector.

Investments and Outlook

In response to the growing demand for capital for energy projects, Qualitas Energy plans to invest around €1.2 billion in acquisitions and project developments in Germany. The aim is to expand the in-house project pipeline to a total capacity of 4 GW. Qualitas Energy Deutschland GmbH, with over 250 employees in several German cities, is well positioned to carry out these projects, either independently or in partnership. The acquisition of the rights to this 56.7 MW wind project marks a significant step in Qualitas Energy’s growth strategy in Germany. With substantial investments and strategic collaborations, the company is strengthening its capacity to develop large-scale energy projects, thereby consolidating its market position.
