Petroliam Nasional Berhad (Petronas) has filed a motion at Malaysia’s Federal Court seeking clarity on the legal and regulatory framework governing its operations in Sarawak State. This move comes as negotiations with Petros, Sarawak’s energy company, have remained deadlocked since 2024. The two parties are at odds over competing regulatory claims regarding gas distribution in this state located on the island of Borneo.
