The International Energy Agency (IEA) forecasts annual global energy demand growth of 3.4% through 2026. This expansion would be driven 85% by China and India, according to the agency. India alone would show an annual growth rate of 6%, supported by economic expansion and rising household consumption. Southeast Asia would also experience sustained growth in electricity demand, estimated at 5% per year through 2026.
