Natural gas power generation in Peninsular Malaysia rose 28.4% year-on-year in December, according to an analysis of Malaysia’s Grid System Operator (GSO) data conducted by Reuters. This increase offset a 4.3% decline in coal-fired output, contributing to a nearly 5% rise in electricity supplied to the peninsula.
