Iran struck Ras Laffan overnight, the world's largest liquefied natural gas (LNG) production complex in Qatar and the global leader by volume. QatarEnergy, the emirate's state-owned energy company, reported "substantial damage" at the facility. Qatar ranks as the world's second-largest LNG exporter behind the United States. Fires were brought under control by early morning, according to the Qatari Interior Ministry; no casualties were reported.
