The Intercontinental Exchange will align its European gas contracts and German power with Asian and American time zones. This extension to nearly 22 daily hours responds to the continental gas market’s shift toward LNG.

The Intercontinental Exchange (ICE) will modify the temporal structure of its main European energy derivative contracts effective February 23, 2026. Futures on the Dutch Title Transfer Facility (TTF), the UK National Balancing Point (NBP), and German power will move from approximately ten-hour sessions to a near-continuous 22-hour cycle, according to technical specifications published by the operator. The new trading window will extend from 01:50 to midnight Central European Time (CET).
