Hydro-Québec is initiating the conversion of a power plant owned by TC Energy, located in Bécancour, for use during peak periods. The facility, with an approximate capacity of 350 MW, will operate on renewable natural gas (RNG). According to the company, this capacity would supply 70,000 households. The operation is part of the Quebec producer’s Action Plan 2035.
