Europe withdraws over 36 bcm of gas from storage facilities since October 2025
European underground storage facilities show a filling rate of 50.36%, 14.84 points below the five-year average. Gas prices reach their highest level in six months.

Net gas withdrawals from underground gas storage (UGS) facilities in Europe exceed 36 billion cubic meters (bcm) since the start of the heating season, according to Gas Infrastructure Europe (GIE) data. The total volume of fuel in UGS stands at 55.7 bcm. Facilities are now half empty.
