EDF Sells Norte Fluminense Gas Plant to Âmbar Energia for 230 Million Euros
EDF has completed the sale of its Norte Fluminense combined-cycle gas power plant to Brazilian utility Âmbar Energia for approximately 230 million euros, as part of an asset-divestment program linked to its EPR2 nuclear program.

EDF has concluded the sale of its Norte Fluminense combined-cycle gas-fired power plant (CCGT) to Âmbar Energia. The transaction, announced Monday by the French group, amounts to approximately 230 million euros, or 1.4 billion Brazilian reals. The asset is located in the northeast of Rio de Janeiro State in Brazil. The group stated it maintained high availability levels for this 827-megawatt (MW) facility throughout its 20 years of operation.
