Center Manche II, an offshore wind farm project, has received a bid from an alliance of three companies.

A second project

Center Manche II brings together Vattenfall, Skyborn Renewables and Banque des Territoires to pursue their commitment to the energy transition. This pre-qualification concerns the wind farm project, launched by France in October. With a power of 1500MW, the park is located off Barfleur.

The Centre Manche II project is located near the first Centre Manche project. The alliance was submitting a bid in November 2022. In addition, the result will occur in the first quarter of 2023.

A lasting commitment

Both projects are expected to be operational by 2030. Thus, they will supply the equivalent of 4.5 million inhabitants with electricity from renewable sources. The alliance between Vattenfall, Skyborn Renewables and the Banque des Territoires, confirms a sustainable commitment in Normandy.

The Alliance concluded strategic partnerships such as the commitment charter signed with the Normandie Maritime cluster. It also signed a partnership with the cluster of Norman industrial subcontractors, Sotraban, in June 2022. Finally, the company consortium benefits from the support of local elected officials and various associations.
