Bolivian Energy Minister Mauricio Medinaceli announced that the government would respect all existing contracts in the hydrocarbon and lithium sectors. This statement comes amid efforts to restore investor confidence after nearly two decades of state control. The minister, appointed by President Rodrigo Paz in November, described this commitment as a “first message to investors.”
