Alfa Laval launches marine LNG module integrating Fives cryogenic technology
The Swedish group launches a new LNG fuel conditioning system for marine engines. This solution integrates cryogenic expertise from Fives, whose acquisition Alfa Laval completed in July 2025.

Alfa Laval announces the launch of a fuel conditioning module designed to simplify the use of liquefied natural gas (LNG) as fuel in marine engines. This solution combines the Swedish group’s expertise in fuel lines and heat exchange with cryogenic technology from Fives Cryogenics. The group completed the acquisition of the French group Fives’ cryogenic business in July 2025, thereby enriching its solutions portfolio with expertise in heat exchangers and cryogenic pumps dedicated to LNG.
