Uniper and AM Green Sign Agreement for 500,000 Tons of Renewable Ammonia Per Year
German group Uniper and Indian company AM Green have concluded a long-term supply agreement for green ammonia. First deliveries from India to Europe are expected as early as 2028.

Uniper Global Commodities SE and AM Green Ammonia India Private Limited announced the signing of a binding long-term supply agreement for renewable ammonia certified as RFNBO (Renewable Fuel of Non-Biological Origin). Under the terms of this agreement, Uniper commits to purchasing up to 500,000 tons per year from AM Green’s production facilities. The signing ceremony took place in the presence of German Chancellor Friedrich Merz and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Ahmedabad. According to the companies, this would be the first agreement of its kind concluded by an Indian company.
