UNIGRID Inc., a San Diego-based company specializing in sodium-ion batteries, indicates it has begun international shipments at commercial volume of its proprietary NCO cells. The American company claims to become the first battery manufacturer outside China to export sodium-ion at scale. This milestone was reportedly made possible by obtaining transport certifications and through its outsourced production model.
