Stellaria Files Authorization Request for Mini Nuclear Reactor Prototype in France
French startup Stellaria, founded by CEA and Schneider Electric, becomes the second company to submit an authorization request for a small modular reactor to the French nuclear safety authority.

Stellaria has filed a creation authorization request with the Autorité de sûreté nucléaire et de radioprotection (ASNR) to build a research reactor named Alpha at the Cadarache site in Bouches-du-Rhône. This facility would be located on a site belonging to the Commissariat à l’énergie atomique et aux énergies alternatives (CEA). The ASNR indicates it received the request on December 22, opening a technical review phase.
