Scatec Signs 1.95 GW Solar and 3.9 GWh Storage PPA in Egypt
Norwegian company Scatec has concluded a power purchase agreement with the Egyptian grid operator for a hybrid solar-battery project presented as the largest on the African continent.

Scatec ASA announced the signing of a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with the Egyptian Electricity Transmission Company (EETC) for a total capacity of 1.95 GW of solar photovoltaic and 3.9 GWh of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS). According to data released by the Norwegian company, this installation would constitute the largest solar and battery combination on the African continent. The group also indicates that it represents the largest investment in its history.
