Brazil’s state-owned oil company Petróleo Brasileiro S.A. (Petrobras) has reported the suspension of its drilling operations in the offshore Equatorial Margin following the detection of a leak in two auxiliary lines used to transport drilling fluid. The incident took place on January 4, approximately 175 kilometres off the coast, in a region Brazil is targeting for its offshore oil potential.
