NW Secures €220M from EIG to Triple Its Storage Capacity in Europe
The French energy company specializing in batteries has closed a non-dilutive financing with the American institutional investor. The operation aims to bring its operational capacity to 4.6 GWh by the end of 2027.

NW, a developer and operator of battery energy storage systems (BESS), announced obtaining financing of €220 million from EIG, a global institutional investor specialized in energy and infrastructure. According to the company, this non-dilutive financing will support the development and construction of its modular BESS assets, marketed under the JBox brand, in France, Finland, Italy and Sweden. The operation would enable NW to reach an operational capacity of 4.6 GWh by the end of 2027, compared to approximately 1.6 GWh currently.
