NanoMalaysia Berhad (NMB), an agency under Malaysia's Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MOSTI), unveiled a sodium-ion battery prototype displaying energy density exceeding 300 Wh/kg. The company said this result places the system among the world's most advanced sodium-ion batteries reported globally. The prototype was developed under the NanoMalaysia Energy Storage Technology Initiative (NESTI), an initiative led by the agency.
