Motive Energy to Deploy 10 MWh Storage for Electric Tugboats at Port of Los Angeles
Curtin Maritime has selected Motive Energy to design the charging infrastructure for its future electric tugboat fleet at the Port of Los Angeles, including a 10 MWh battery storage system.

Motive Energy, through its Sustainable Solutions division, has been selected by Curtin Maritime to design and deliver the primary charging infrastructure for the shipowner’s future electric tugboat fleet at the Port of Los Angeles. According to both parties, this project represents one of the first large-scale charging deployments in the United States for commercial marine operations.
