Middle East Tensions: Brent and WTI Decline as Washington Considers Futures Market Action
For the first time in nearly a week, oil prices are declining. Brent crude fell 1.1% to $84.46 a barrel, while WTI dropped 1.3% to $79.93 a barrel, as Washington considers intervening in futures markets.

Oil prices are declining for the first time in nearly a week. At 04:40 GMT, Brent crude was down $0.95, or 1.1%, to $84.46 a barrel. West Texas Intermediate (WTI) fell $1.08, or 1.3%, to $79.93 a barrel.
