TerraPower and Meta have announced an agreement for the development of eight advanced Natrium nuclear reactors in the United States. According to the contract terms, this infrastructure would provide Meta with up to 2.8 GW of carbon-free baseload energy. The storage system integrated into Natrium technology would enable total capacity to reach 4 GW. Meta will fund the deployment of the plants, with delivery of initial units anticipated as early as 2032. The company describes this commitment as its largest support for advanced nuclear technologies to date.
