Meta and TerraPower Partner to Develop 2.8 GW of Advanced Nuclear in the United States
The American tech giant and nuclear company TerraPower have concluded an agreement for the construction of eight Natrium reactors. This 2.8 GW capacity is expected to power Meta’s data centers starting in 2032.

TerraPower and Meta have announced an agreement for the development of eight advanced Natrium nuclear reactors in the United States. According to the contract terms, this infrastructure would provide Meta with up to 2.8 GW of carbon-free baseload energy. The storage system integrated into Natrium technology would enable total capacity to reach 4 GW. Meta will fund the deployment of the plants, with delivery of initial units anticipated as early as 2032. The company describes this commitment as its largest support for advanced nuclear technologies to date.
