Matrix Renewables awards Tesla 500 MW energy storage project in the United Kingdom
Matrix Renewables has signed a turnkey agreement with Tesla to develop a 1 GWh battery energy storage system in Scotland, marking its first standalone project of this kind in the UK.

Matrix Renewables has finalised an Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) contract with Tesla for the development of a 500 megawatt / 2-hour Battery Energy Storage System (BESS), with a total capacity of 1 gigawatt-hour. The project, located in Eccles, Scotland, represents the company’s first standalone storage project in the United Kingdom.
