EU Refuses to Extend Aspides Mission to Strait of Hormuz, Favors Diplomacy

Gathered in Brussels, European Union foreign ministers rejected on Monday the idea of redeploying the Aspides naval mission to the Strait of Hormuz. Kaja Kallas, the EU's chief diplomat, indicated at the end of the meeting that there is "for now" no desire to modify the mandate of this operation.
