Pertamina, Indonesia’s state-owned oil company, has completed the upgrade of its Balikpapan refinery for an investment of $7.4 billion. This facility becomes the largest in the country with refining capacity increased from 260,000 to 360,000 barrels per day. President Prabowo Subianto officially inaugurated this project, which is part of the company’s efforts to increase its production capacity in response to growing energy demand.
