Peru Plans Nine Solar Projects Totaling 1,420 MW for $1.27 Billion
The Peruvian Ministry of Energy and Mines announces a portfolio of nine photovoltaic plants to be developed between 2026 and 2028. These facilities are expected to strengthen the national power grid and diversify the country’s energy mix.

Peru’s Ministerio de Energía y Minas (MINEM) has unveiled a solar development plan comprising nine photovoltaic projects. According to data released by the ministry, these installations represent a cumulative investment of $1.268 billion and a total capacity of 1,420 MW. All facilities will be connected to the Sistema Eléctrico Interconectado Nacional (SEIN), the national interconnected power grid.
