Japan’s Nuclear Regulation Authority (NRA) announced it would require Chubu Electric Power to submit a detailed report regarding falsified seismic data. The regulator simultaneously suspends the review of the restart application for Hamaoka plant, located in the Shizuoka region on the Pacific coast. This decision concerns the No. 3 and No. 4 reactors at the facility, the utility’s only nuclear plant.
