Iberdrola inaugurates 65 MWp solar plant in Germany to supply Salzgitter
The Spanish group commissions a photovoltaic facility in Saxony-Anhalt under a 15-year power purchase agreement with the German steelmaker, aimed at supporting low-carbon steel production.

Iberdrola Germany has completed construction of a solar plant with a capacity of 65 megawatt-peak (MWp) in Saxony-Anhalt. The facility spans 45 hectares and comprises more than 92,000 photovoltaic modules. The electricity produced is destined for Salzgitter AG under a 15-year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) covering the supply of 900 GWh over the period.
