Iberdrola announces the commissioning of the New England Clean Energy Connect (NECEC), a high-voltage transmission line linking Quebec to the United States. The infrastructure, developed by its US subsidiary Avangrid, carries hydroelectric power from the Canadian province to New England. This interconnection has a capacity of 1,200 MW, sufficient to supply nearly 10% of Massachusetts’ electricity consumption, according to data released by the company.
