The Hai Long offshore wind project has installed the first turbine at the Hai Long 3 wind farm. According to a LinkedIn post by the project, Taiwanese contractor CDWE carried out the installation using a nacelle locally assembled at the Siemens Gamesa facility in Taichung. The first turbine installed marks the effective start of the installation phase for the Hai Long 3 park. Offshore wind continues to gain momentum globally, as illustrated by projects such as the geotechnical investigation recently launched for the 375 MW Oriel offshore wind farm in Ireland.
