Grupo Carso, the Mexican conglomerate controlled by billionaire Carlos Slim, has reached an agreement to acquire Fieldwood Mexico from Lukoil. This entity holds stakes in the Ichalkil and Pokoch oil fields, located in the Gulf of Mexico. The transaction amounts to $270 million, plus the repayment of $330 million in debt, according to the Mexican group.
