Grenergy Secures Capacity Contracts for 2.1 GWh of Storage in Poland
The Spanish company has secured five stand-alone battery projects in an auction organized by the Polish electricity grid operator. It has also obtained €8 million in government grants for four other facilities.

Grenergy has secured capacity contracts for five stand-alone storage projects in Poland, according to the results of the latest auction organized by Polskie Sieci Elektroenergetyczne (PSE), the national electricity system operator. These facilities, named Fred, George, Lucius, Hagrid and Harry, represent a combined power of 534 MW and a storage capacity of 2.1 GWh. The company indicates it has secured more than 11% of the total storage capacity offered in this auction.
