Fortescue has announced the start of construction on its Nullagine wind project, located in the Pilbara region of Western Australia. This installation represents the mining group’s first operational wind development. The company indicates that this project constitutes a step toward its carbon neutrality goal, called “Real Zero.” The site will serve as the foundation for a broader wind portfolio planned for this decade.
