Equinor intends to restart development of the Wisting oil field, located in the Norwegian Arctic. According to Kjetil Hove, head of Norwegian operations for the group, technical concept selection should occur this year, with a final investment decision expected in 2026. The project was suspended in 2022 due to soaring costs, which had exceeded 100 billion Norwegian kroner ($10 billion).
