Engie Secures 200 MW Solar-Storage Contract in India from SECI

Engie announces it has won a contract for a hybrid project combining solar power generation and battery storage in India. This first project of its kind for the French group in the country combines 200 MW of photovoltaic capacity with a 100 MW battery energy storage system (BESS). The award resulted from a tender launched by the Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI), the government agency responsible for renewable energy development.
