The Danish Ministry of Climate and Energy announced the establishment of an analytical framework to assess the potential of small modular reactors (SMR). This initiative could lead to the lifting of the civil nuclear ban adopted by Parliament in 1985. Minister Lars Aagaard specified that renewable energies would remain the foundation of the national electricity supply, while highlighting their limitations in meeting all needs.
