Cuba restored its national power grid on Sunday after a second total blackout in less than a week. Two-thirds of Havana had electricity restored by Sunday afternoon, according to the capital's electric utility, a day after the Ministry of Energy announced a "total breakdown" of the national electrical system on X. Prime Minister Manuel Marrero Cruz announced the restoration of the NES (National Electrical System) on the same platform, crediting "the efforts of our electricians". Authorities cautioned that electricity supply remains below demand on the island of nearly 10 million inhabitants.
