Colbún strengthens its portfolio with two wind farms in northern Chile

Colbún S.A., a key player in Chile’s energy sector, has finalized the purchase of the San Juan and Totoral wind farms. Located in the Atacama and Coquimbo regions respectively, these wind farms represent an installed capacity of 193 MW for San Juan and 46 MW for Totoral. The transaction includes the acquisition of 100% of the shares of Inversiones Latin America Power SpA (ILAP), which holds the companies that own the wind farms. The amount of the transaction is USD 401 million, with possible adjustments in accordance with the usual contractual clauses.
