Cameroon’s Société nationale de raffinage (Sonara) has approved a budget of 291.9 billion FCFA (approximately $519 million) for the Plan d’accélération des mesures de restructuration et de réhabilitation pour la reprise du raffinage sous 24 mois (Parras 24). This decision was made during the 140th board of directors session, held on December 23, 2025 in Yaoundé under the chairmanship of Dr. Ndoh Bertha née Bakata. The amount represents a reduction of approximately 8 billion FCFA from the 300 billion FCFA announced by the government.
