Brent crude jumped 16.7% on Monday, reaching $108.20 a barrel, the highest level since July 2022. West Texas Intermediate (WTI) rose 15.7% at the same time, to $105.13. These levels result from a military escalation involving the United States, Israel and Iran, which disrupted regional supply chains. Several Gulf producers reduced their output in response to the events.
